The Mara Triangle
Located on the western bank of the Mara River, our camp is only a 10-minute drive from Kichwa Tembo, Bateleur, and Olonana Tented Camps, and a 15-minute drive from Oloololo Gate (the North West Gate of the Masai Mara Reserve).
The Mara North
Our Mara North Location gives guests in the Mara a Hot air balloon experience that is uniquely positioned over the Mara North conservancy making this service accessible to guests at the Mara North.

Hot Air Balloon Flight across the Mara Plains

At the Ballooning Camp
We launch our balloons from our camp at sunrise. Large electric fans cold-inflate the balloon; the electric fans operate silently so that the guests can hear animals in the serene atmosphere of the Mara. When the balloon is inflated the pilot lights the gas burners and heats the balloon. The heat launches the balloon into the air. As soon as the balloon is launched, the passengers step inside the basket and the pilot takes off.
An Abundance of Wildlife
Our unique balloon experience takes you over the diverse habitats of the Masai Mara Reserve; fly over the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife & the African Savannah. The quiet, relaxing ride allows you to view an amazing assortment of wildlife from a unique bird’s-eye view. The lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo can be seen frequently along with other animals such as hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, birds, and many more.
An Amazing Landscape
The average flight duration is 1 hour; travelling approximately 15 to 25 Km depending on the wind conditions. On 95% of the days, the wind takes us south, deep into the Masai Mara Reserve where we land. The exceptionally beautiful equatorial sunrise of the Mara is breathtaking. sights and sounds of the animals in the bush from above… exhilarating.
At the Breakfast Site
Sing and dance with us at the welcome party organized in your honour after your flight. You did it! You flew over the Mara in an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience. You even get your very own flight certificate to show your achievement. A luxury champagne breakfast is served, on the open plains of Masai Mara. A wonderful meal in the middle of the African Savannah. We have exceptional chefs and will create a delicious meal to enjoy with loved ones in the wide open spaces as you enjoy the stunning views.
