Explore the vibrant marine life of the Indian Ocean around Bawe Island aboard our unique semi-submarine. Enjoy the ocean breeze from the open-air upper deck and marvel at colorful reefs and fish from your underwater window seat. Watch our divers interact with marine creatures while our expert guides share fascinating insights.
- Cruise Duration: 30 minutes to reach the coral reef.
- Start on the Upper Deck: Relax while your guide shares stories about Stone Town, Bawe Island, and Zanzibar’s history.
- Explore Below: Once we reach the reef, head to the lower deck for panoramic underwater views through large, unbreakable windows.
- Guided Experience: Fish & coral ID charts and live commentary from your marine guide.
- Our diver and guide will take complimentary photos of you from outside the submarine through the glass.
- Note: Swimming, snorkeling, or diving is not allowed during the trip.
- Location: Fully air-conditioned departure lounge at Forodhani Gardens.
- Arrival: Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure.
- What’s Included: Safety briefing, Snacks & drinks, Free WiFi, Private toilets nearby.
- Children’s life jackets are available at the lounge; adult life jackets are on board.
- Kindly leave large bags at the lounge for your comfort.
- After the briefing, your guide will escort you to our shuttle boat (RIB) to reach the floating boarding platform.
- Depending on the tide, boarding is from the nearby stairs or beach.
- Our captain and crew will greet you and help you board safely.
- Not suitable for children under 5, pregnant women, or guests with large luggage.
