Description
Discover two of the most important natural areas on the Watamu coast in one half-day tour: the coastal forest and the mangroves of Mida Creek. Walk with a local guide under the forest canopy, then explore the creek, where the tide shapes the day and the mangroves shelter birds, crabs and young fish.
Our team handles the booking and can add the tour to any Watamu, Malindi or North Coast stay.

What to Expect
Your guide takes you into the forest on foot, pointing out trees, birds, butterflies and other small wildlife. Forest wildlife is shy, so sightings depend on the day and cannot be guaranteed.
The tour then moves to Mida Creek, where the mangroves are visited at the state of the tide that suits the day. The exact timing is confirmed when you book.
The tour is relaxed and suitable for most ages. Wear comfortable walking shoes or sandals, a hat and light clothing, and bring insect repellent, sun cream and drinking water. Contact our team to confirm availability and to book.
