Description
Sail through the mangroves of Mida Creek on a traditional dhow as the afternoon turns to evening. The light is soft, the creek is calm and the birds are active, which makes this three-hour cruise one of the most relaxing ways to end a day on the Watamu coast.
Our team handles the booking and can add the cruise to any Watamu, Malindi or North Coast stay.

What to Expect
You meet the crew at 4 pm and board a traditional dhow. The boat sails quietly through the creek while your guide points out birds and explains how the mangroves support the local fishing community.
The cruise is slow and relaxed, with plenty of time for photographs. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, and the route follows the tide.
You are back on shore at about 7 pm. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sun cream, insect repellent, a light cover-up and a camera. Wear comfortable shoes that can get wet. Contact our team to confirm availability and to book.
