Jambo Mutara Camp is a unique tented camp on a hilltop overlooking the vast plains of Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Stylish tents, panoramic views and front-row access to remarkable wildlife, including rhinos, lions and elephants, define an intimate Laikipia stay.

PPS means per person sharing a double or twin tent. PP means per person in single occupancy. Rates are on a full board basis.
- Infants under 3 years sharing with adults stay free.
- Children aged 3 to 11 years sharing with parents pay 50%.
- Children aged 12 to 15 years sharing with one or two adults pay 75% of the applicable per person adult rate.

What to Expect
Jambo Mutara Camp is a relaxed, hilltop camp priced on a full board basis, with game drives and extras chosen as you go to match your budget.
Rates are lowest from January to June and from October to mid-December, and higher from July to September and over the festive weeks.

Itinerary
Travel by road or air to the area and transfer to Jambo Mutara Camp. You are welcomed with refreshments, shown to your room and can enjoy an afternoon at leisure or an optional game drive.
Set out early for the morning game drive, when predators are most active, then return for a relaxed lunch and rest. An afternoon drive follows, finishing with dinner back at the lodge.
Spend another day exploring for rhinos, lions, elephants and chimpanzees. Ask our team about optional extras such as guided walks, cultural visits or special dining.
Enjoy a final breakfast, then transfer to the airstrip or begin the journey back to Nairobi. Your stay can be extended night by night.

Wildlife viewing is good year-round. June to October is the dry season and the best time for game viewing, while November to May is greener and quieter with lower rates.
You can travel by road from Nairobi, or fly to the nearest airstrip and be met for a transfer. We arrange either option together with your stay.
Where the rates are marked as resident rates, they apply to Kenya citizens and East African residents with valid proof of residency. If you are travelling as a non-resident, ask our team for a quote that matches your travel status.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy fees are not included unless stated. Our team can confirm the current fees for your dates.
Yes. Rates are priced per person per night, so you can stay as many nights as you like. Our team can also combine your stay with other destinations in Kenya.
