Rooms and the Kiwengwa Area
The resort is on the beachfront in a peaceful setting, about 80 minutes by coach from Abeid Amani Karume Airport. Kiwengwa is a small, authentic village on Zanzibar’s north-eastern coast, known for its flour-white beach and teal waves.
- Deluxe Double Room with Garden View and balcony or terrace: sleeps up to 3 with king-size or twin beds plus a rollaway bed, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, tea and coffee facilities, minibar, safe and a walk-in shower
- Junior Suite with limited sea view and balcony or terrace: sleeps up to 4 with king-size or twin beds plus a double sofa bed, with the same amenities
- Pongwe Beach, about a 10-minute drive south and considered one of the best on the island
- Jozani Forest, Zanzibar’s only national park and home of the red colobus monkey, less than an hour away
- Stone Town, about an hour west, for markets, mosques and old-quarter architecture
- The Festival of the Dhow Countries in Stone Town, usually held in the first two weeks of July
- Spice-infused island dishes such as octopus curry and coconut bean soup
What to Expect
The all-inclusive board covers three meals at The Restaurant, a la carte lunch outlets on the beach, snacks, and a range of drinks at the Pool Bar, the Mama Pawpaw Bar and the Zanzi-Bar on the beach. A weekly dinner at The Andiamo or Green & Grill is included, and evening entertainment and sports and fitness activities round out the stay.
Deluxe Rooms with Garden View suit couples and small families, while Junior Suites and Beach Villas are available on supplement for more space. Families benefit from a clear child policy, with children under 12 staying free when sharing with two adults.
