Excursion Overview
This short morning trip is the easiest way to combine dolphin watching and reef snorkelling from Watamu. It runs every day, leaves early while the sea is calm, and finishes in time for lunch.
- Early-morning boat trip in the Watamu marine park
- Dolphin watching, subject to wildlife sightings
- Guided reef snorkelling
- Available any day of the week
- Back on shore by 10:30 am
- Meet your crew at 8 am
- Boat out in search of dolphins
- Snorkel over the reef
- Return to shore at about 10:30 am
What to Expect
You meet your crew at 8 am for a short safety briefing before the boat heads out. The calm early-morning water makes it easier to spot dolphins and gives the best visibility for snorkelling.
The crew searches for dolphins, then stops at a reef where you snorkel with a guide. Dolphins are wild, so sightings cannot be guaranteed, and the exact snorkelling spot depends on tides and sea conditions.
You are back on shore by about 10:30 am. Bring swimwear, a towel, a hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sun cream and a light cover-up. A waterproof bag for your phone or camera is also useful. Contact our team to confirm availability and to book.
